Maasai Mara National Reserve (masai mara national reserve )is one of the key popular tourism points in Kenya, its located in South-western Kenya along the Great Rift Valley area in Narok county Kenya adjacent to Serengeti national park of Tanzania all around Mara Region/ Masai mara region. The Reserve was named in honor of the ancestral inhabitants the Maasai people who described the area as Mara meaning spotted circles of trees, savanna, scrub and cloud shadows of the area. Masai Mara National Reserve was established in 1961 as a wildlife sanctuary covering a small area of only 520 square kilometers of the current Mara Triangle. In the same year, the masai mara national reserve kenya was extended to the East to cover around 1,821 square Kilometers, it’s at this point that it was converted into a game reserve under the new management of the local community of Narok County Council.

Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai mara

Beasts Africa Representative will pick you from your Hotel bring you to the office for Finalization and briefing about the safari programme and later on be dropped at the departure Point where You will meet with the group and start your safari to Masai Mara National Reserve via the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley and Narok town for lunch. On arrival, you will proceed for a game drive, tracking various animal species and birds with your driver/guide. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the Camp / Lodge.
 

Day 2Maasai mara full day

After breakfast, you will proceed on a full-day game drive within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game viewing in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close-range encounters. You will break for your picnic lunch at Hippo Pool, looking out for hippos and crocodiles. You will return to the camp or Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3 Maasai Mara – Nairobi

After breakfast you will be picked by your Guide and Proceed to the Maasai Village for Cultural activities, after you will be picked by your guide and depart to Nairobi with your Lunch on the way, to arrive Nairobi in the Evening and drop you at your Nairobi Hotel or at the Airport

Day 4Nairobi – Namanga –Arusha

After breakfast, we depart from Nairobi to Arusha with the Am Shuttle Bus through the Namanga Border for immigration formalities arriving in the afternoon. We will take you to The Charity Hotel or Similar for Hotel Booked on bed and Breakfast.

Day 5 Arusha – Lake Manyara

After enjoying your last breakfast, you will walk down by trekking for 2hrs, 15km to forest clearance. The remaining part distance of approximately 16km is by 4x4WD vehicle. Catch a 4×4 transfer vehicle to Chogoria Village where you will connect with your transfer vehicle back to Nairobi, B,L. 

Day 66Lake Manyara – Serengeti

After breakfast, we will take picnic lunch with us and drive west across the gentle rolling Ngorongoro highlands en route you pass Zebra and wildebeest grazing with the Maasai cattle and young boys tending them, and Maasai villages[Bomas].After proceeding to Serengeti and at the Picnic Site for Your  lunch. Proceed with the Afternoon game drive in Serengeti with a great sighting of Lions, Hippos, Giraffes, Leopards, Reedbucks, and Elephants Dinner and overnight at the Camp / Lodge.

Day 7Serengeti –Ngorongoro

After breakfast the driver will pick you and proceed for final game drive in Serengeti with your lunch enroute proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area arriving in the evening, Ngorongoro crater is one of the seven wonders in Africa arrive in the evening and Dinner and overnight at the Lodge or camp.

Day 8Ngorongoro – Arusha

After breakfast you will be picked by your guide and proceed to Ngorongoro 2000ft down to the crater exploring and viewing animals at a depression angle till you arrive at the crater rim, enjoy picnic lunch at the crater, ascend, and drive to Arusha where you will be dropped at Arusha Hotel booked on bed and breakfast.
